The Best Adidas Releases of the Week » Believe in the Run

What You Need To Know

  • We’re all about that three stripes life
  • Check out some sweet new shoes and more
  • Sorry, no Yeezy…
  • Check back next week for even more good stuff

Adidas has been on something of a hot streak lately. From the Takumi Sen 8 to a commitment to recycled materials, there’s a lot to like out of the brand with the three stripes. It can be tough to keep up with all of the releases each week, so we’ve decided to play favorites. We’ll grab a few top selections each week, but there’s one guarantee — it’s all Adidas, baby.

You can expect quite a lot from this list, including shoes, clothing, and a few accessories here and there. However, don’t expect anything from Kanye’s creative mind, everything from the Yeezy line still sells out immediately. We’ll mostly focus on the performance line, too, but we might let a few other picks through the cracks here and there.

If we’ve reviewed one of our picks, we’ll be sure to link it. If not… maybe just trust us? We’d be buying all of this gear ourselves if we had an unlimited budget.

NOTE: We earn affiliate revenue from Adidas, so anything you buy helps us keep the lights on.

adidas Solarglide 5

Where better to start than with a shoe we’ve already put some miles on? The Adidas Solarglide 5 is finally available for purchase, complete with the Flash Orange colorway that Renaldo is so highly praised. It’s not the lightest Adidas running shoe on the market, but that package is loaded up with recycled plastics courtesy of Parley. The Solarglide 5 is a solid everyday option, not necessarily one for the fast days, and it’s riding on a bed of Boost pods. There’s also more than enough Continental rubber to soak up your road mileage.

Men’s Terrex Multi Wind Jacket

adidas terrex multi wind

If you’re up on your three stripes brands, you’ll know that Terrex is the adventure-ready trail gear. It’s designed to handle the elements and usually packs some pretty sleek style. Our first of three Terrex picks for the week is a jacket for the trail dudes out there, and it’s called the Multi Wind. It uses Wind.Rdy technology to keep wind and light showers at bay, but mesh underarms keep you breathing easy. The Multi Wind doesn’t offer a hood, but you can easily pack the jacket into a built-in pocket for easy storage and travel.

Terrex Free Hiker XPL Parley

adidas free hiker xpl

Most of our shoe choices will be for running, but who doesn’t love a good hike now and again? The Adidas Free Hiker line is peak trail style, and the XPL Parley is just the latest example. It comes in unisex sizing, and the Utility Green colorway is bound to find a home with plenty of adventurers. The Free Hiker XPL rides on a slab of Boost foam a lot like the one on the Ultraboost, so comfort shouldn’t be an issue. And hey, if your name is Robbe, maybe you’ll appreciate the extra support once it’s time to roll your ankle again.

adidas Ultraboost 22 — New Women’s Colorway

adidas ultraboost 22

The Ultraboost needs almost no introduction. It’s been around for something like six years now and recently underwent its biggest transformation yet. You get more Boost foam than ever before, and the upper is made from equal parts recycled Parley plastic and recycled polyester. Even better, the colorways just don’t stop coming — this pink, purple, and blue version kinda reminds me of Trix Yogurt, and I LOVE Trix Yogurt. Side note, can you even get Trix Yogurt anymore?

Women’s Terrex Agravic Windweave Pro Jacket

adidas agravic jacket

Let’s bring the Adidas picks home with one more Terrex option. This time, it’s a jacket for the women. The Agravic Windweave Pro is about as high-tech as you’ll find in a jacket. It’s 50% lighter than standard Windweave and features a DWR coating to keep water off your back. You also get 360-degree reflective details so you can add up your miles even when the light is low. Adidas added a hood for good measure, and the Agravic Windweave Pro packs into a built-in pocket when you’re on the go.
