Our Running Warehouse Picks of The Week (2/11/2022)

What You Need To Know

  • A little bit of warm-weather optimism
  • Zero drop, drop top
  • It’s a good week for Brooks fans
  • Check back next week for even more good stuff

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of winter. Sure, the groundhog did his thing and whatever, but we’re gonna ignore that rodent. Instead, it’s time to appreciate that I’m making my Running Warehouse picks on a 50-degree day in February. As such, I’ve got some warm weather gear for you and a few new shoes to test out.

We tried to cover the full range of launches, but each week is a mystery. Our picks are all over the place this week, but there’s always something to pick up. Our goal is to provide a few new selections each week, so check back real soon if you’re not into this week’s options.

If we’ve reviewed one of our picks, we’ll be sure to link it. If not… maybe just trust us? We’d be buying all of this gear ourselves if we had an unlimited budget.

NOTE: We earn affiliate revenue from Running Warehouse, so anything you buy helps us keep the lights on.

Ultra Mont Blanc

What better way to start looking forward to spring than with a race day shoe? Alright, so the Mont Blanc won’t be for everyone, but it just landed at Running Warehouse and it’s gonna be an ultra runner’s dream. It packs a resilient EgoMax midsole with plenty of stack, but the Mont Blanc holds onto Altra’s classic zero-drop platform. You can choose from two colorways for either men or women, but no matter which way you go, the Mont Blanc should be able to handle your longest trail runs.

Men’s Brooks Run Within Crew

We love a good crewneck, and we’re willing to fight anyone that doesn’t. It’s even better when it works as either a standalone shirt or a solid layering option. That’s what you get with the Brooks Run Within Crew — and it even comes in a springy Honeydew shade. Brooks added a small zippered pocket so you can keep your keys close at hand, and the ribbed design should keep the crewneck from stretching. A few navy blue hits also help to break up the Honeydew hue.

Brooks Ghost 14

We’re back to Brooks once again, but this time with some colorful new shoe options. It’s fair to say that the Run Happy brand is ready for spring with the latest Ghost 14 colorways. They’re part of the Fuse pack, and offer the same DNA LOFT cushioning you’ve come to expect. What makes the Ghost 14 really sing is that the entire midsole is made of the same foam after a few years of split cushioning. We’d say the women’s colorway looks just about like a child’s birthday party exploded, wouldn’t you?

Women’s Brooks Chaser Short

Are ya sick of Brooks gear yet? Well, hopefully not, because the brand had tons of Running Warehouse launches this week. Another option for warm-weather running is the Chaser Short, which comes with a three-inch inseam. There’s not much more to say about a pair of shorts, but Brooks is killing the color names. The Chaser Short comes in Bluetiful, Jamberry, and Violet Dash — no, those aren’t the names of My Little Ponies.

Garmin Instinct 2

There’s never a bad time for a new running watch. Well, maybe immediately after buying another one is silly, but the Garmin Instinct 2 is calling my name. It goes for a simple black and white display, but the Instinct 2 meets military impact standards and it’s thermal, shock, and water-resistant to 100 meters. You should be able to reach 28 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, or 30 hours of GPS connectivity.

Men’s Nike Aeroswift Short

Our final piece of clothing from Running Warehouse this week doesn’t come from Brooks. Instead, we’re all in on the new Nike Aeroswift cut. Last year was a five-inch inseam summer, but now we’re cutting it to four inches. The shorts come in Deep Royal Blue, and we’re feeling ready for warmer weather immediately.
